Student Access Center

We work to ensure that the University promotes respect for individual differences and that no person who meets the academic and technical standards needed for admission and continued enrollment at UNE is denied benefits or subjected to discrimination due to a disability.

About

The University of New England seeks to promote respect for individual differences and to ensure that no UNE student is denied benefits or subjected to discrimination due to a disability. If you are a student with a qualified disability, the University, in conjunction with federal and state laws, will provide reasonable accommodations for you.

Self-disclosure is a necessary first step to receiving modifications, auxiliary aids, or accommodations so that you can make full use of the University’s programs and services, which include testing services, housing accommodations, and alternative formats. You can self-disclose your disability at the time of your application to UNE, or at any point while you are enrolled at the University.

We invite you to connect with us to learn about the options available. If you cannot access forms or pages on this website and need to request an accessible format, please email bcstudentaccess@sherbornecottages.com or pcstudentaccess@sherbornecottages.com and we will provide you with one.

Teaching Students with Disabilities

Students with disabilities constitute a population of scholastically-qualified students who present some special instructional needs to the University as a whole and to individual instructors. This resource guide provides University of New England faculty with practical information about teaching these students.
